大江東去，浪淘盡，千古風流人物。
故壘西邊，人道是，三國周郎赤壁。
亂石崩雲，驚濤裂岸，捲起千堆雪；
江山如畫，一時多少豪傑。 
遙想公瑾當年，小喬初嫁了，雄姿英發，
羽扇綸巾，談笑間，強虜灰飛煙滅。
故國神遊，多情應笑我，早生華發。
人生如夢，一尊還酹江月。

Remembranceof Things Past at Red Cliff 
Su Dongpo
(1031-1101)

The mighty River eastwards ever flows,
With its waves sweeping away all ancient heroes.
West of the worn-out fortress, the folks say,
Still remains Red Cliff of Young Marshall Zhou's day
In the era of Three Kingdoms.
Riotous rocks pierced the clouds, awesome
Roaring billows assaulted the shores,
Piling up snow drifts a thousandfold.
How picturesque the landscape, behold!
And how many heroes were sure
To emerge suddenly in this time!
I can well envision, though distantly,

Marshall Zhou(Gongjin) in his prime
To Younger Qiao the rare beauty newly
Wedded, dashing and debonaire.
With a feather fan in hand, a silk kerchief to wear,
In a moment of lively banter he had the strong enemy fleets
All reduced to flying ashes and smoldering smoke. Were
My spirit to return home I must be
laughed at by my late other
Better half, the Affectionate,
For why getting so early grey
for my age?
Life’s but a dream! However,
Let's pour out a libation for the moon image
Reflected in the flowing river!
